Workshop on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Auditing with the Support of TPA Serbia

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the Securities Commission and the OSCE Mission to Serbia organised a workshop titled “Innovations in Auditing with the Support of Artificial Intelligence in Implementing the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing.” The workshop aimed to introduce auditing firms to the latest technological innovations by using artificial intelligence and related technologies in auditing, focusing on how these innovations can be applied in line with the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing.

Over 80 participants from auditing firms across Serbia attended the workshop, which was part of an ongoing effort to improve knowledge and practices in the auditing field. Attendees heard presentations from representatives of the Securities Commission, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Belgrade, as well as industry experts and programmers.

One of the key highlights was TPA Audit’s presentation, where they showcased an innovative IT tool developed in-house by TPA Group for performing auditing procedures. The tool uses artificial intelligence to analyse data and enhance auditing methods. A live demonstration illustrated how it is applied in practice to identify risks and ensure compliance with the regulations of the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing.

The lecture explored topics like using artificial intelligence to analyse large datasets, tackling the challenges brought by new technologies, and enhancing auditing procedures with innovative approaches. The workshop underscored the importance of adopting modern technologies to make auditing practices more efficient and precise.

This event once again demonstrated the vital role of technological innovations in advancing professional standards and adapting to the demands of modern business.
